Galway Women's FC have had a busy few weeks on the player recruitment front. Confirming a number of high profile signings ahead of the beginning of the WNL season on Aug 25th.
Galway born Susie played with Bangor City in the AXA Premier League, turning out against Manchester City, Arsenal and Leeds. During her time there Bangor won the Welsh Cup and qualified for the UEFA Cup.
She made her International debut against the Faroe Islands in 2004. In 2003 she was selected for Irish Universities at the World University Games in Korea. In front of 30,000 supporters she finished Ireland’s top scorer with 6 goals in 4 matches, including a hat-trick against Canada. She continued to play for Galway side Ashe Rovers and also played for Rathfarnham United winning the Premier League twice.
In 2008 she won the Irish Cup with Galway Ladies and went on to play in the UEFA Cup for the side. She has played for Castlebar Celtic in the WNL and currently plays for Colga FC
A top class goalkeeper, Melissa was capped at Under 19 level for the Republic of Ireland. She has also represented her province, playing for Connacht several times. Her playing career has included spells with a number of Galway Clubs including Old Castle Celtic, Galway Hibernians, Galway Bohemians, Mervue United and Corrib Rangers. She reached the FAI Intermediate Cup Final with Galway Bohs and in 2008 won the FAI Irish Senior Cup with Galway Ladies before going on to play in the UEFA Cup for the side.
She currently plays for Corrib Rangers FC
Galway born Lisa is a midfielder who has been capped 12 times at underage level for Ireland including 6 times in UEFA Under 17 Championship, scoring 3 goals for her country.
In 2012/13 she was nominated for the ‘Three’/FAI Under 17 Women's International Player of the Year.
She has captained the Connacht Gaynor Cup team under 12 and 14 leading them to victory at under 14 and also captained the Galway under 16 side.
In the 2012/13 season she played with Castlebar Celtic in the WNL last year.
In 2009 she won the FAI Umbro Women's U16 Irish Cup with Colga FC when she was instrumental in the victory.

Glinsk native Emma Curley played for North Galway side Glen Celtic for a number of years winning the FAI Junior Cup in 2005.
Lining out for Athlone IT she won back to back WSCAI Intervarsities Plates along with being named on the team of the tournament in 2012 and 2013.
Earlier this year she was also awarded player of the year for Athlone IT.
Laura played with Salthill Devon for many years until 2012 winning numerous league titles, an Irish Cup final at Under 12, and at Under 16 twice, and part of silver medallist teams too.
Laura played for Castlebar Celtic in the WNL for 2012/13.
She also played for Connacht in the Gaynor Cup from 2007-2011., winning the Gaynor Cup in 2011.
Currently studying in UL she is a member of the soccer team. She has also had underage Irish trials
Jennifer started her career in the Midlands league with Bealnamulla FC.
She played centre back on the Irish team who were silver medalists in the UEFA U17 European Championships in 2010. And reached the quarter finals of the FIFA U17 World Cup in Trinidad and Tobago.
She also played in the elite phase of the UEFA U19 European Championship 2011/12
Jennifer won the Gaynor Cup with Connaught U18's in 2011
She has played with Castlebar Celtic in the first 2 season's of the Women's National League and won the plate with NUI Galway in 2013.
Jennifer was an NUI Galway sports award winner for soccer in 2012 and 2013.
Sinead Taylor was born in England, and played underage with Blackburn Rovers FC. On moving to Ireland she played with Killeigh and Tullamore and had underage trials.
She captained Athlone Institute of Technology to 2 WSCAI Intervarsity Plate wins scoring the winning goals in both finals.
She was then selected for the Irish Combined Colleges team, that competed and won the Keele International Plate Final. Sinead is currently playing with Bealnamulla for the past 3 years, winning the Dublin Major and Premier leagues. Sinead is currently the top scorer in the Galway league.
Becky captained Ireland at U15, 17, 19 levels. In 2010, she was named FAI U19 International Player of the Year.
She represented Connaught in the Gaynor Cup at 14, 16, and 18 levels.
Becky was a member of the Galway Ladies side that travelled to Bosnia for the Champions League.
With Salthill Devon, she also won the National Cup at U14, twice at U16 and the Intermediate Cup.
Becky also played with Raheny United in the inaugural season of the Women's National League.
