Experience should never be taken for granted, especially in this League which is populated by so many young players. So having Conlon in the heart of their defence is a huge coup for Rovers as they have someone who has played abroad and held her own in big games. A strong voice and steady influence on the pitch.

ORLAGH NOLAN - SHAMROCK ROVERS

Nolan has caught the eye since her days with Mount Merrion and the youngster enjoyed a fine first season with Rovers last term. Now, the onus is to get even better as the hardworking midfielder tries to hold down a regular place in John Walsh’s side. Still only 18, Nolan can improve her final delivery and shots on goal, which would make her a real terror to opposing defenders.
