BEFORE we bid farewell to the second season of the Bus Éireann Women’s National League, there are a few end-of-term report cards to hand out.
If we were to grade the WNL as a whole, it would receive a B, with the footnotes stating how much improvement it has made, while recognising there is still work to be done to reach maximum potential.

Bus Éireann National Women’s League Awards presented

 

Peamount United striker Sara Lawlor was today named as the Bus Éireann National Women’s League Player of the Season following a poll of players in the League. Wexford Youths Women’s striker Rianna Jarrett topped the vote for Young Player of the Season.

Raheny United have won the 2012-13 Bus Eireann Women’s National League. They beat Wexford Youths 3-0 at Morton Stadium this afternoon thanks to two goals from Katie McCabe, one of which was from the penalty spot, and Rebecca Creagh.
