Bus Éireann Women’s National League Awards Nominees Announced

The best players of the inaugural Bus Éireann Women’s National League will be honoured at an awards lunch that is due to take place at the Burlington Hotel on Tuesday, May 1st. Nominees for the Player of the Season and Young Player of the Season have today been announced along with the Bus Éireann Women’s National League All Star Team. The Minister of State for Tourism and Sport, Mr. Michael Ring, will be there to present the awards. A special award honouring one individual’s contribution to Women’s football will also be announced at the lunch.

Speaking about the awards, Andrew McLindon, PR Manager, Bus Éireann, “It has been a hugely exciting and entertaining inaugural year for the Bus Éireann Women’s National League. These Awards will celebrate the players and their teams that helped make it such a success.”

Bus Éireann Women’s National League Director, Fran Gavin, said ‘It has been a landmark year for women’s football with the development of the league. It has been an exciting season with plenty of goals and drama that has showcased all that is good about women’s football and football in general.
