Bus Éireann Women’s National League champs Raheny United learn UEFA fate

BUS ÉIREANN Women's National League champions Raheny United have been grouped with hosts Crusaders Strikers WFC from Northern Ireland, the Ukraine’s WFC Kharkiv and MTK Hungária FC of Hungary in today’s UEFA Women’s Champions League draw in Nyon.

Raheny are in Europe for the first time following their title success earlier this year.

The visit to Northern Ireland will be a welcome one for the Dublin side from a logistics perspective but they will face a challenge to secure a place in the second round. The fixtures are scheduled to take place from August 8-13.

The eight qualifying group winners, plus the two runners-up with the best record against the sides first and third in their section, proceed to the draw for the round of 32 on September 5.
