Raheny United 1-2 Wexford Youths Women’s (Played Saturday)

Peamount United 7-2 Cork City Women’s FC 

WEXFORD Youths Women wrapped claimed their first Continental Women’s National League crown on Saturday evening after a 2-1 victory away to Raheny United.

Goals from Amy Walsh and Claire O’Riordan sealed victory for Willie Doyle’s side after Jamie Finn had given Raheny the lead.

With two games remaining Wexford Youths are now uncatchable with 43 points.

UCD Waves sit in second place on 35 points with Raheny United in third place on 27 points. Raheny have four games remaining this season.

Meanwhile, Peamount United secured fourth place in this year's league table after an entertaining 7-2 victory over Cork City Women’s in Greenogue today.

Katie McCarthy opened the scoring for the visitors after 14 minutes, Hayley Nolan levelled the scoring 11 minutes later with her third of the season.

The second half exploded into as substitute Jessica Gargan put Pea’s ahead, minutes later Gargan set up Kim Turner to make it 3-1.

Vanessa Ogbonna responded almost immediately for City grabbing her second goal of the season to make it 3-2.

Robbie Mulligan’s side sealed all three points over the final phase of the game with under 17 international Eleanor Ryan-Doyle grabbing two after making her entrance.
