Continental Tyres Women's National League side Peamount United have clinched the signing of Republic of Ireland Player of the Year Karen Duggan ahead of the 2018 season.

The Peas have made some huge signings ahead of the new season as Duggan joins former UCD Waves teammates Aine O'Gorman and Claire Walsh at Greenogue.

Peamount made huge strides last season as they pushed Wexford Youths all the way for the WNL title, but lost the final game of the season against Youths at Ferrycarrig Park which saw them finish second in the league.

Former Shelbourne Ladies keeper Niamh Reid-Burke has also signed with the Peas as they look to go one better next season and claim the WNL title.

Duggan spent three years with Peamount United but left in 2014 to join Dublin rivals UCD Waves under former manager Eileen Gleeson.

Duggan has gone from strength to strength in the Women's National League since and has become a regular in Colin Bell's Republic of Ireland Women's National Team starting XI.
