The Continental Tyres Women's National League will be receive more exposure than ever before thanks to each club being equipped with video cameras to capture highlights of every game.

With the 2018 season already underway, the highlights of the games can be viewed on FAI TV's YouTube channel and each club is free to use the footage to promote its own players and games.

The eight WNL clubs can also avail of a state-of-the-art performance analysis system, run by Avenir Sports, where all head coaches and analysts can view full matches, download specific clips, and trawl through the various selections of set-pieces and key moments.

The highlights package and access to the performance analysis system is free of charge to all eight clubs, courtesy of funding supplied by the Football Association of Ireland and UEFA.

Sue Ronan, FAI Head of Women's Football, believes this initiative is a huge step in the right direction in further promoting the women's game.

"Since its inception in 2010, the Women's National League has gone from strength to strength and we now have a very competitive League, which was evident last season with Wexford Youths only confirmed champions on the last match-day," said Ronan.

"This season, to further promote and grow our League, we have started to produce a weekly highlights package featuring goals and key moments from every game.

"This will not only showcase the quality of skill on display at each of our clubs, it will also create role models for the young girls at grassroots clubs all around the country, who we hope will then aim to become the next generation of elite players."
