The Continental Tyres Women's National League Player of the Month nominees for the month of May have been confirmed.

It has been a fantastic month in the Women's National League as Champions Wexford Youths continue their unbeaten run at the top of the league on 19 points. But just one point behind and also unbeaten, Peamount United are pushing the Champions all the way with an intriguing title battle set to take place.

Shelbourne Ladies have also continued their good form this campaign to keep touch with the top-two with competitive games throughout the league in an exciting season.

Three players nominated for the Player of the Month award are:-

Rianna Jarrett - Wexford Youths

Her fine form for the Champions has seen her rewarded with a call-up to the Women's National Team. Nine goals already this season, Jarrett has had to work hard to put her three ACL injuries behind her.

Aislinn Meaney – Galway WFC

Nominated for the March/April award as well, Meaney has continued to be a shining light for Galway and has also contributed three goals already this season. A star player in the league, Meaney has kept her spot in the WNT squad.

Karen Duggan – Peamount United

Duggan's fantastic form since her move to Greenogue from UCD Waves has added some valuable experience and steel to a strong midfield line-up at the Peas. Her first nomination this season.

Good luck to all nominees.
