The nominations for the Continental Tyres Women's National League July Player of the Month have been announced.

It has been another impressive month for Women's National League Champions Wexford Youths as they remain unbeaten in their quest to secure back-to-back league titles. Captain Kylie Murphy has been pivotal in that form and picks up an nomination alongside new Shelbourne Ladies signing Malinda Allen.

Making up the three nominations is Galway Women's defender Shauna Fox who has turned in some impressive performances at centre-back as Galway picked up an impressive 5-2 victory over Limerick during the month of July.

The three Player of the Month nominations

Kylie Murphy - Wexford Youths - Midfielder

Murphy has been an inspirational leader for Youths for a number of years now and as Youths look to maintain their unbeaten campaign, Murphy has been one of the stars in the side once again.

Malinda Allen - Shelbourne - Midfielder

An overseas signing from Duke University, the American has adjusted to life in the Women's National League extremely well. Allen is a powerful, commanding centre-midfielder and helped Shels record five wins during July

Shauna Fox - Galway Women's - Defender

Fox has had an impressive July and turned in an excellent performance when Galway suffered a narrow 2-1 defeat to Wexford Youths in the League Cup semi-final at Ferrycarrig Park. A stand-out improver this season, Fox deserves the nomination.

The winner will be announced next week, good luck to the nominees.
