Stage set for Aviva Finals on Saturday

Wexford Youths Women's FC player Lauren Dwyer, Castlebar Celtic's Sarah Rowe and U19 International Gemma McGuinness, all former participants of the FAI Schools 5-aside competition, were in the Aviva earlier this week to launch the National finals. 

AVIVA STADIUM will play host for the first time ever to this year’s Aviva Health FAI Primary School 5’s National Finals on Saturday, May 25 (12 noon to 3pm).



Peamount United retain the Bus Éireann Women’s National League Cup

Peamount United retained the Bus Éireann Women’s National League Cup this afternoon at the headquarters of the Mayo Football League in Milebush, Castlebar.



Castlebar Celtic v Peamount United, Milebush Park, Castlebar, 3pm.

The curtain draws to a close on the second season of the Bus Éireann Women’s National League on Sunday when the final of the League Cup takes place at Milebush Park between Castlebar Celtic and Peamount United (3pm).

BEFORE we bid farewell to the second season of the Bus Éireann Women’s National League, there are a few end-of-term report cards to hand out.
If we were to grade the WNL as a whole, it would receive a B, with the footnotes stating how much improvement it has made, while recognising there is still work to be done to reach maximum potential.



Bus Éireann National Women’s League Awards presented


Peamount United striker Sara Lawlor was today named as the Bus Éireann National Women’s League Player of the Season following a poll of players in the League. Wexford Youths Women’s striker Rianna Jarrett topped the vote for Young Player of the Season.    



Raheny United have won the 2012-13 Bus Eireann Women’s National League. They beat Wexford Youths 3-0 at Morton Stadium this afternoon thanks to two goals from Katie McCabe, one of which was from the penalty spot, and Rebecca Creagh.
