All eight sides are in action this weekend in the final series of games in the Só Hotels Women’s National League before the mid-season break.

Galway play host to Shelbourne in a game with a lot at stake for both sides – the home team have the chance to go within two points of the Reds, while Shels will be seeking to move ever closer to Wexford Youths.

Due to remedial works currently taking place at Eamonn Deacy Park, that game has been moved to Fahy’s Field, the home of Mervue United, but still has a 6pm kick-off.

Also on Saturday night, Dave Rooney’s Limerick side will travel to Ferrycarrig Park on a high after last Sunday’s late 3-2 win against DLR Waves.

They play second-place side Wexford Youths in the game which kicks-off 6.30pm.

Peamount will be hopeful of finishing for the break with 12 wins out of 12 and on 36 points, as they face bottom side, Kilkenny United.

No one will be more keen to finish on a high than striker Amber Barrett who is set to play her last game for the club before heading to Germany where she has signed a contract with FC Köln.

Kilkenny added to their squad on Friday afternoon when Emma Campbell put pen to paper to join the club.

That fixture takes place at PRL Park, Greenogue at 6.30pm, also on Saturday evening.

There is just one game on Sunday – fifth meets sixth at 2pm in Bishopstown Stadium when Cork City play host to DLR Waves.
