*Expression of Interest*


The Football Association of Ireland (FAI) invites expressions of interest from clubs/entities who may be interested in participating in the Bus Eireann Women’s National League.


The successful applicants would compete in the 2013-14 Bus Éireann Women’s National League.

Any club/entity joining the Bus Eireann Women’s National League would be required to enter into a Participation Agreement with the FAI, which sets out the terms and conditions under which each participant club/entity in the Women’s National League will participate. This will include Disciplinary Procedures, Commercial Rules, Anti-Doping Programme and Licensing System. Applicants will be required to meet the requirements of a licensing system which will include strict criteria in relation to:-

  • Full use of appropriate stadia
  • Specific coaching qualifications for coaches
  • Medical cover
  • Youth development structure
  • Legal make-up of club
  • Financial sustainability

Applicant clubs/entities will also be assessed across a range of criteria including; geographical location, sporting, infrastructure, administrative, legal and financial.

A meeting will be held after the above date with interested parties to explain in full the licensing criteria required.   Interested parties will subsequently be invited to complete and submit a detailed questionnaire, indicating their interest and how they propose to meet the requirements of the club licensing criteria.
