RAHENY UNITED host Cork Women’s FC in the Bus Éireann Women's National League at Morton Stadium tomorrow looking to move within two points of champions Peamount United at the top of the division.

The Northsiders have two games in hand on Peamount but can not afford to drop any points as it would hand control of the title race back to the Peas.

Raheny boss Sean Byrne has injury doubts over Rachel Graham (hamstring) and Noelle Murray (ankle) and has told his side that they must maintain the stands they have set this season. United drew 2-2 with Peamount on Sunday after trailing with five minutes left.

“Sunday’s game was massive for us because while we went in looking to win it, we knew we couldn’t afford to lose it. A draw was a fair result. We had a good first half then they had 25 minutes of dominance before we equalised and I felt it was a deserved point,” said Byrne.

“It’s down to us now and we have to go into every game giving 100 per cent otherwise you won’t get a result at this level. Cork have been in good form so I’m expecting this to be a very tough test.”

Cork are missing Denise O’Sullivan and Clare Shine through injury while college commitments may curtail Emma Farmer and Natalie O’Brien’s involvement.

“This is going to be a tough challenge with some players unavailable but the squad is quite strong now and the performances have been good recently so we want to build on that,” said Cork’s Chris O’Mahoney.
