As they prepare to meet in the Continental Tyres Women's National League Play-Off, both Shelbourne Ladies and Wexford Youths WFC know exactly what is at stake.

In what has become one of the League's most gripping derbies, there is always a lot more than pride on the line - especially so in this unique game where the winner takes all, including:

- Continental Tyres Women's National League title
- UEFA Women's Champions League qualification

Will Doyle's Wexford side have experienced both of those already, but that does mean their hunger and ambition is any less than that of their opponents. In fact, it has been bubbling hotter than ever since their last meeting at Tolka Park.

Sunday's Play-Off will be staged at Tallaght Stadium and Shelbourne know that their 3-1 victory in the final League game of the season has put them in a position where they have gained the upper hand. Although, judging by their games this season it it difficult to predict what may happen.

When the teams met in March, there was little between them as the 3-3 scoreline suggests. The WNL Shield Final went in Wexford's favour however as they edged victory thanks to a single goal, while Shels scored a 4-2 victory in April before their most recent win. So it is advantage Shels in terms of previous meetings.

One thing that is bound to arrive with the first whistle sounding in the Play-Off is an exhibition of skill and passion. Both teams are made up of players who demand success and they will not give up on this tremendous opportunity to be crowned the best in Ireland.

It promises to be a thrilling affair and it almost definitely is all to play for.
